Dr. Darcie Anselment
Dr. Darcie Anselment, Doctor of Chiropractic
Originally from Cranesville, PA, Dr. Darcie’s passion for chiropractic care began in her youth when she witnessed her mother, Denise, suffering from intense headaches that often led to physical illness. Conventional painkillers provided no relief until Denise sought chiropractic treatment. After a cervical spine adjustment, her symptoms vanished, and she felt well enough to drive again, as if her ailment had never occurred. This transformative experience inspired Dr. Darcie to pursue chiropractic as a healing intervention.
Dr. Darcie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Dance from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2006, followed by her doctoral degree in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 2011. Since then, she has successfully treated numerous patients for a wide range of conditions, from muscular spasms to more serious issues such as disc herniations and spinal stenosis. Committed to offering the best care, she stays abreast of the latest research in chiropractic treatment methods.
Dr. Darcie is a Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner (CKTP), utilizing rehabilitative taping to stabilize muscles and joints without limiting range of motion, enhancing the benefits of manual therapy techniques she employs. Renowned athletes such as Kerri Walsh Jennings, Serena Williams, and David Beckham have benefited from this method.
She is also recognized as one of only 900 extremity specialists worldwide and the sole practitioner in Indiana County certified as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP). This specialization allows her to effectively diagnose and treat recurring pain in the spine and extremities, including TMJ pain, shoulder girdle syndromes, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee subluxations, sprained ankles, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis.
Dr. Darcie completed the Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) program, equipping her with comprehensive protocols for treating athletic injuries both on and off the field, from concussions to turf toe. As she no longer actively practices and focuses solely on managing her business, she has allowed this certification to lapse. Her commitment to excellence remains steadfast as she oversees operations with dedication and expertise.
