Joshua Hehr, L.Ac

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

Joshua embarked on his journey into the rich philosophies and traditions of East Asia in the early 2000s, delving deeply into traditional Chinese martial arts and the profound concepts of Daoism. His dedication led him to become an indoor disciple of the Yin Cheng Gong Fa group in Beijing by 2007, where he immersed himself in Taiji (Tai Chi) and Qigong, subsequently teaching these arts to numerous students.

Inspired by his exposure to the holistic healing arts of the East, Joshua pursued formal education, earning a Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City in 2015. His professional practice integrates ancient Eastern traditions with contemporary Western medical insights, a fusion that enriches his approach to healthcare.

Joshua’s quest for knowledge extended to Tibetan Bon Buddhism, which he has studied intensively under a revered teacher, focusing on meditation, yoga, and breathwork practices.

From early 2018 to late 2019, Joshua had the privilege of developing and leading Wellness Immersion Programs across Vietnam and Southeast Asia for the prestigious Aman ultra-luxury resort group, enriching his global perspective on holistic wellness practices.

Having explored the world extensively, Joshua has found his place in the serene landscapes of western Pennsylvania, eager to contribute to the Align team. He is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Joshua welcomes individuals seeking acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments, with a particular focus on orthopedic and pain management, digestive disorders, and autoimmune conditions. His holistic approach aims to empower patients on their journey to optimal health and well-being.
